French author Cathy Stopps reveals life and murder among the fabulously wealthy inhabitants of Boca Raton's Gold Coast
New novel features complex murder mystery for three friends to solve
BOCA RATON, Fla. August 8, 2011 -- "Let's Do Lunch" (ISBN 1460940970), a mystery novel by Cathy Stopps, follows protagonists Richard Beauvoir, Emmanuelle Darvieux and detective Sam Loubard as they work together to solve a series of high-profile town murders.
Boca Raton, Florida, is home to a multi-cultural population of the ultra-wealthy, but wealth can't protect its denizens from the crime of murder. When a prominent figure and his wife go missing and their grand-daughter is murdered soon thereafter, Richard and Emmanuelle find themselves drawn into a web of mystery and deceit. Local detective Sam Loubard, Richard's childhood friend, works with Richard and Emmanuelle as the mystery intensifies, entangling them in the inner-workings of the upper echelons of society and inculcating their psyche with mind-twisting danger.
"The sunny yet eclectic environment of Florida's 'Gold Coast' stimulated my creative juices and provided me with all the inspiration I needed to write the novel," says Stopps, a long-time Boca Raton resident. "The characters in my thriller are based on the people that live around me every day."
Readers will join Richard, Emmanuelle and Sam as they follow the twisting trails of evidence to a surprising conclusion that strikes close to home.

About the Author
Cathy Stopps was born in France and raised in Madagascar by parents in the service of the French government. After several years at a boarding school in France, she went to England for work and further study. Stopps received her degree in English from Cambridge University, where she also met her future husband. She has spent the last three decades working in the information technology field and currently resides with her family in South Florida.
